About
Siddharth Kalantri is an accessibility-focused software engineer from Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. His work combines screen-reader expertise, self-directed software learning, and practical project building.
Journey
Siddharth holds a B.Sc. in Drugs and Dyes Chemistry from BNN College, Bhiwandi. After graduation, he worked in his family flour mill business and pursued Flour Milling Technology at the International School of Milling Technology.
A retinal detachment led to glaucoma, and over five to seven years he gradually lost vision in both eyes. He adapted by mastering assistive technologies and built deep daily experience with NVDA and JAWS screen readers.
Around 2022, after online learning became more accessible, he began a focused transition into software development. He now builds web applications, accessibility tools, AI/RAG projects, database-backed systems, and cloud-ready Node.js applications.
Education and Direction
B.Sc. in Drugs and Dyes Chemistry from BNN College, Bhiwandi. Also pursued Flour Milling Technology at ISMT before vision loss changed his path.
More than 20 years of real screen-reader use informs how he reviews forms, navigation, headings, keyboard support, and interface clarity.
He learns by building documented projects, testing real workflows, and improving the work through accessible design and practical engineering choices.
Accessibility engineering, Node.js applications, assistive technology, AI integration, database-backed systems, and cloud deployment.
